ALL THE WAYS WE PTSA AT REED:

  • PTSA to SUPPORT FAMILY EXPERIENCES -- Free monthly Virtual Community Connection events 
  • PTSA to BUILD STUDENT LEADERHSHIP & SOCIAL CONNECTION -- PTSA collaborates with ASB, NJHS, and other student members to plan events, hold member socials, engage student leadership, engage in cooperative fundraising, and (pre-COVID) hold on-campus student events

  • PTSA to DISCOVER GREAT RESOURCES FOR FAMILIES - Parent education, newsletter, online resources, and more.

  • PTSA to ADVOCATE FOR ALL CHILDREN - Affect change at the local, state, and national levels by becoming a member and uniting our voices on important issues

  • PTSA to SUPPORT ARTS EDUCATION - with Reflections and Music Scholarship Programs

  • PTSA to BUILD A MORE INCLUSIVE, DIVERSE & EQUITABLE SCHOOL COMMUNITY - with PTSA's new I.D.E.A. committee

  • PTSA to FUND REED PROGRAMMING - to support Grad Night, Teacher Appreciation, Schoolwide academic needs like technology upgrades. 

  • PTSA to CONNECT TO NEWS & COMMUNITY - Through our e-newsletter, survey, events, and more!

  • We invite every parent, student, teacher and neighbor to JOIN with PTSA, as we work to make Reed the best it can be for our students...our most precious resource.

MEMBERSHIP

 

PTSA works closely with the entire school community -- parents, teachers, staff, students, Friends of Reed, Friends of IHP, and our community volunteers --  to put students and families first.  

Membership is open to parents, teachers, students, staff, family, community members, or anyone who wants to be involved in making a difference for the education, health, and welfare of our students.

While encouraged, membership is not necessary to receive access to resources, subscribe to the newsletter, or attend most events. 

Your Walter Reed Middle School PTSA is part of the Valley Gateway Council of PTAs, in the 31st District, which is part of California State PTA and National PTA.

HOW TO SUPPORT REED PTSA

PTSA promotes inclusive and and quality education for all students and families, collaboration and engagement of families and educators in the education of children and youth, and for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in public education funding.
